So. its been a long time since ive been on this thing but im gonna try and be better about posting ! As you all know our little bundle of joy is finally here :) he came on my grandma Eva's birthday Feb. 10.. {which was super special} .. he was 7 pounds and 14 ounces.. and after 9 months of trying to agree on a name and 5 minutes before we left we finally decided on Ashtin Jay. Here is a little catch up on the past couple of months....
Soooo my mom and Ryan flew in a week before my due date feb 9th in case the little guy came early and of course that didn't happen but on the 8th o started having pretty bad contractions so i went to the hospital got checked in just for them to tell me i wasn't even dilated so they gave me a shot of morphine in my butt for the pain ( which hurt like crazy) and sent me home...the next day contractions were happening all day and by 9 i was dying i couldn't handle the pain anymore so off i went to the hospital again and thank goodness i was dilated to a 3 so they kept me...about an hour later the anesthesiologist came in to give me the good ol epidural which killed meee oh my some people said it wouldn't hurt but i thought it killed! Poor Jay was watching them give it to me and he thru up he was white as a ghost lol ...4 hours later i was dilated to a 10 and ready to push i thought it was gonna be easy but nope it wasn't!... So the nurse say to push so i push and push and push and push she tells me that it looks like the baby might be posterior but we would wait for the doctor to see so i continue to push.. 2 hours later the doctor comes in looks at my situation and yes he says the baby is posterior in the meantime little by little i start to fill my contractions and i start to feel more and more pain as the second goes by im pressing the epidural button like crazy trying to get numb and its not working its only getting worse ... they had the anesthesiologist come in to give me another dose, he pumps more into my system and still not working....2 more hours go by of me pushing and no baby and at this point i could feel everything i was in so much pain and they couldn't figure out why nothing was working on me...My body was giving up i couldn't push anymore..Ashtin was still posterior and the doctor said we were gonna have to do a c-section and i was so relived i didnt care what they did to me i just wanted the pain to stop and Ashtin to come out...They gave me another spinal shot and more epidural and morphine and finally i was numb...at 7:45 am Ashtin came i heard him cry and i just started to cry it was the most relieving feeling to know he made it and i was alive lol he was 7 pounds and 14 ounces and what i didn't know was when your baby is posterior you add an extra pound so i was trying to push out an 8 pound baby the doctor said it just wasnt gonna happen ,he wasn't getting past my pelvis it was like pushing a triangle through a circle it just wont happen :( guess ill be having a c section from here on out.... Recovery was pretty painful i had the best of both worlds, recovering from a vaginal delivery and a c-section is painful! I stayed in the hospital for three days ate lots of yummy food and was taking good care of by the nurses , my mom and my sweet husband who stayed by my side day and night , love him :) we went home and i was hit with postpartum which is the craziest thing ...thank goodness my mother was there she took care of Ashtin for the first two weeks. I couldnt do anything with out getting anxiety or crying . Everytime i would look at him my heart would start pounding i start to sweat and would have to leave the room.. People always warned me about postpardum so i thought for sure id prepare my self for it but you just cant prepare it just hits you and its uncontrolable it was awful and i couldnt of gotten thru it with out my wonderful mom love you. Ashtin is now 7 weeks old and i couldnt be more in love with him. He is my little prince im so obbssesed with him..He such a good baby for me .He'll even sleep thru the night im so lucky! Well if hes in his crib he'll get up every three hours but if hes in his bouncer which he is obsessed with he'll sleep right thru the whole night, a whole 7 hours straight i love it! but i dont want him to think he can only sleep there so i have him sleeping in his crib during naps and at night ill let him sleep in his bouncer and its been working :) Anything i have to do for sleep i will ! I love my sleep to much! Here are some things he is doing now:
1. smiles when i talk to him :)
2. when im talking to him he'll make noises like hes trying to talk back to me its so cute
3. holds his head up for about 5 sec hes a little strong boy
4. gets excited to see his daddy
5. loves his swing and bouncer
6. he loves starring at lights
